Cape Style Barn-House Kits

Barn-Houses are beautiful, versatile, and affordable. Each standard Barn-House kit contains the materials required for a weather-tight shell, including the pre-cut frame, flooring for two floors, exterior wall sheathing, siding, roof sheathing, trim, shingles, hardware, and detailed step-by-step instructions written specifically for the inexperienced owner-builder. Custom options include doors, windows and skylites of various sizes, stairs, and larger studs and rafters for increased energy efficiency.

Customers can select a building width of 24' or 26' and a length ranging from 24' to 64' in 8-foot increments. Because there are no load-bearing walls (all Barn-Houses have post & beam frames) the floorplan for each level can be as open or complex as your imagination permits: doors and windows can be placed almost anywhere. When completed with owner-supplied materials, Barn-Houses become unique, comfortable homes, ideal for use on either a primary or seasonal basis.

Like all Shelter-Kit products, Barn-Houses are produced one at a time, each for a specific customer. They are not stockpiled. Quality is paramount, with each piece of lumber individually selected, cut, and packaged.
