CAPE STYLE BARN-HOUSE KITS
Shelter-Kit® Barn-Houses are beautiful, versatile, and affordable. They are available in 1½ and 2- story models. Each Barn-House™ kit contains the materials required for a weather-tight shell, including the pre-cut frame, flooring for two floors, exterior wall sheathing, siding, roof sheathing, trim, shingles, hardware, and detailed step-by-step instructions written specifically for the inexperienced owner-builder. Custom options include porches, decks, larger roof overhangs, dormers, cathedral ceilings, stairs, and larger studs & rafters for increased energy efficiency. We offer many door, window, skylight and siding options.
Customers can select a building width from 16' to 26', and a length ranging from 24' to 64'. Barn-Houses can be built in tee and ell configurations. Because there are no load-bearing walls (all Barn-Houses have post & beam frames) the floorplan for each level can be as open as you want. Doors and windows can be placed almost anywhere.
Like all Shelter-Kit® products, Barn-Houses are produced one at a time, each for a specific customer. They are not stockpiled. Quality is paramount, with each piece of lumber individually selected, cut, and packaged.
